'Cliff Notes' To Skip the overwhelm. Find the "aha!"

Assets of the Plant Kingdom

Down and out about 2020?

You're Not Alone
Some have greatly enjoyed the extra $$ Covid unemployment has offered and are depressed about returning to work.
Many lost so much more than unemployment will ever cover.
Some have enjoyed the extra family time... and many have not.
Some have appreciated solitude and quiet and many have slipped into darkness.
Countless lost loved ones.   As an empath... my heart goes out to everyone.

You're Situation Is Unique To You
Whatever is going on for you, doesn't have to stay that way. Hearts can heal.  Bank accounts can regrow.  New businesses ventures can develop. Bodies can heal. Families can regroup.  Ultimately your level of happiness can be lifted.

The body is a combination of powerful organs capable of healing and oils are an extraordinary asset.
They reach the deepest areas of our body and assist in ways healers dream of.   They work in ways that may never fully be understood or accepted by modern medicine Let us not let that stop us from accessing their gifts.

Sequiterpenese carry oxygen molecules to aid the brain and other tissues.  They have been studied at Berlin and Vienna universities, where it was determined that breathing sesqueterpine oils increases blood brain oxygen.
Our brains are incredible:  controlling the core of who we are, our emotional, mental and physical center.  When we lose one of these aspects or have a dip in health, our vitality is shifted.

Have you ever lost mobility, due to injury or illness?  Have you ever gone into a mild or deep depression? If so you know the shifts in your emotional center effect your thoughts and usually actions.

Priceless Assets
Essential oils and their amazing health benefits are priceless assets from the plant kingdom.  I will forever be grateful for what they've done for me in my darkest hours.  Pulling me from emotional, physical and mental holes to empowering me by strengthening my core systems.
They've proved to help my family in countless ways over the years and I will never be without them.

Of all the wellness tools; essential oils are hands down the easiest tool to use, travel with and share with loved ones!

Simply: open, inhale and/or apply to your wrists.

Carcinogens In Your Home?

If I told you there are ways of reducing your cancer risk would you listen ?  If I could show you  how to reduce your exposure to carcinogens by even half would you want to know?
Yes?? Well then, read on my friend.
Toxins are everywhere and you can argue, that you can't avoid them all together.  To an extent, I agree with you.  For example, you can't avoid them in your flooring.  All typical forms of flooring contain toxins: carpet, vinyl, and hard woods, concrete, painted etc.
Furniture is another, its in the wood, the fabric, the protective coatings etc.  If you’ve had a baby you know that you should ‘off gas’ the crib mattress for days before the infant sleeps on it, because of the toxins used to make it! I bought an organic crib mattress and it still had that plastic stink.

Sadly, toxins have become an acceptable ingredient in manufacturing.  From the bottle the product is stored in, to the actual ingredients.
40 years ago the FDA came up with ‘acceptable’ levels BPA & other plastics, because they cause fertility issues, cancers, birth defects, impaired immunity, endocrine disruption and other ailments.
Fragrance is another can of worms, it’s an umbrella term to cover hundreds of toxic harmful ingredients in your products.

Why not just remove them right? Great question.  Turns out it would hurt the industry and the company's bottom line.  Is your jaw dropping, eyes rolling? Are you thinking what about the damage being done to your children or yourself?  Don’t you matter?
Yes, friend, of course your do!  This is why I'm writing to tell you, you can remove so many toxins from your life, the government chooses to allow in the industry.
There are an excessive amount of Carcinogens in your home in ‘safe items’ like dish soap, laundry soap, lotions, hair care products, cleaning agents etc.
The damage from toxins is hard to reverse and is often silent.  We might see dry skin from washing our dishes or hands too often or we may get a rash when we use name  brand sanitizer. We might notice nothing when applying butt paste to our babies or makeup to our eyes.  None the less... these products are damaging your cells, and its either ignored or it's not even noticeable.  They're causing toxic build up, creating a cascade of issues from cells not being able to do their job.
Toxins are lurking in almost everything.  They cause cellular damage and if left unchecked we know cellular damage often leads to cancer.

Here are are few things to look out for:

Phthalates can be obtained through inhalation, however equally effective is through skin contact with scented dryer sheets, soaps, which is a significant problem, warns Alicia Stanton, MD, coauthor of Hormone Harmony. Sanitizers, lotions, but it's also in the soft plastics your products which are leaching toxins into your product.
Keep in mind anything applied to the skin enters the blood stream effecting your entire body.   Ask yourself ... would you eat it? Is it good for you your internal organs ? If the answer is no.. make a better choice.  So how do you know? Start with avoiding anything with the word fragrance on the label.

Perchloroethylene or “PERC” is a neurotoxin and found in spot removers, carpet cleaners & dry cleaning agents.  According EPA it’s classified as a “possible carcinogen” which pretty much means it is.  People who live in residential buildings where dry cleaners are located have reported negative neurotoxic effects.  Think about that for a second.  They are separated by concrete, drywall ceilings and floors, and have neurotic effects. Imagine whats happening to you when you wear the clothing, with the chemicals infused into them?  Symptoms or not you’re still being effected.

Triclosan is an aggressive agent found in anything that says antibacterial.  Soaps, dish soaps, cleaners etc. The use of triclosan is another endocrine disruptor and also a neurotoxin and promotes drug-resistant bacteria,.  There is loads of evidence against the use of antimicrobial soaps. Thoroughly washing for the time it takes to sing happy birthday (with a toxin free soap of course) cleans our hands effectively. Leaving our bodies better able to make use of antibacterial medicine when truly needed.  By the way.. science is making huge swings in estimates but here it is: we are either 10:1 bacterial cells to human cells, 3:1 or 1:1 so take your pick but either way we are made up of A LOT of bacteria and we need to be mindful of our bacterial counterparts.  Like beneficial gut flora, if we kill it- all hell breaks loose.  So stay away from antibacterials by using a fragrance & toxin free soap.

2-butoxyethanol is the key ingredient in many multipurpose, window and kitchen cleaners.  Let’s just say it’s powerful stuff.  Sadly it’s not required to be listed on the label. Yet at high levels glycol ethers can contribute to narcosis, pulmonary edema, and severe liver and kidney damage.  These are pretty important filtering organs.

Do you want to swim in a crisp clean pool or a mucky pond?   When these organs are not functioning optimally... our fluids (blood & lymph) become more like the pond.  Do you want to expose yourself, children pets or elderly family to this?  Yea, me neither.

In the workplace there is a limit set by the EPA on allowable limits for 2-butoxyethanol  however.. as I’ve said before; when you spray once you can contaminate your air for 12-24 hours.  How many windows do you have?  We have 28.  If I sprayed a window cleaner containing 2-butoxyethanol 28x’s I’d probably end up feeling sick, with a headache having exposed my self to far more than what is actually allowed in the workplace per EPA guidelines. Over exposure isn’t hard to do.. it’s bioaccumulation and it's from repeatedly using a toxin..  What would the EPA or Osha do to a company who over exposed their employees to a carcinogen monthly? #shutdown!  So why are we allowed to purchase these toxins are use them repeatedly around perhaps compromised immune systems, infants, children, elderly?

There are hundreds more toxins and carcinogens available in the cleaning & personal care isles but I’m sure you get the point.
Truly, there is a better option and it's as easy as can be.  What I use is plant based, there are no health and safety warnings associated with it and it smells amazing.

Do You Know How Many Toxins Are In Your Home?

Why are there no federal regulations of chemicals in household products?
Does that bother you ? There are regulations for workplaces.. but not where we have little ones, pets, elderly or where we sleep at night…

Environmental experts state: The average household contains upwards of 62 toxic chemicals.  However, I’m sure its much more.  The word fragrance alone encompasses a few thousand toxic compounds.  Think about how many bottles of cleaning agents you have ?  Counting the ingredients on each would most likely put you in the range of about 100 (low estimate).  And then they add fragrance (a few thousand under the umbrella of 1 word).  And don’t be fooled by the word botanical.  think of it as a synonym for fragrance.  Botanical is usually a compound that's created in a lab 'identical' to an herb or essential oil and therefor still another chemical your body doesn't recognize.

There are far too many toxins to track and the exposure is compounded daily with each and every spray, hand washing, article of clothing, lotion applied, perfume sprayed.

Ingredients in common household products have been linked to hormone disruption, asthma, cancer, and neurotoxicity.
The argument stands that in small quantities their toxic ingredients don’t pose a problem, but the fact is they do.  Studies show a drop in IQ correlating to the increase in toxins one is exposed to .

If you clean your kitchen counters at least once per day you’re exposed to toxins in more than ‘minimal quantities’ This is because now you’re breathing contaminated air for up to 8 hours (from just 1 spray). I don’t know about you but one spray doesn’t go far in my home!  A Canadian study by Marketplace showed toxins leach from tightly closed containers and can be detected from outside closed cupboards.  So, even properly stored, the toxins are seeping into your air.    In addition to actually using them.

Bioaccumulation makes it impossible to accurately assess the risks these toxins present in your body.  This is the accumulation of unseen toxins from various products in our bloodstream & organs.  What’s worse is toxins store in fat cells.  Not only is our brain mostly made of adipose (fat) but throughout the rest of our body blanketing our organs for protection.  We all know... fat cells are some of the most difficult to loose so that means these toxins stick around and are very difficult to remove.

Some toxic products produce an  immediate reaction such as: light headedness, headaches, nasal congestion, eye sensitivity, burns.  Others don’t produce an outward effect but create a shit storm of damage from within.
These effects accumulate like the toxins themselves.  Much like a drug causes a side effect which sets off a chain reaction of more side effects; toxins do the same.  When a xenoestrogen enters our body it attaches to a cell that’s expecting an estrogen hormone molecule.  This blocks the cell’s ability to work correctly- setting into motion all kinds of hormonal disruption and chaos.

So let's recap, we’ve got toxins  that seep into our air while stored appropriately, we’ve got bio accumulation and cell damage from using them ‘properly’ and regularly enough to keep a clean space.  We've got thousands of chemicals in one word (fragrance) thats in almost everything we use.  We've got toxins on our clothes and sheets, we've got them in all our shampoos conditioners, baby washes etc.
Medicine has proved that when enough toxins have accumulated, it’s ‘highly probable’ the cells will replicate incorrectly, begin to grow and form a disease pattern.

We can’t avoid toxins altogether, they’re in our water ways, our tap water, our air.  We can however control what comes into our homes.  Which we absolutely should because sadly, the home is most often the most toxic environment, especially for the stay-at-home/ work-from-home individual & parent.
Wouldn’t you say it’s imperative we do all we can to reduce our exposure by eliminating the toxins we purchase.
Read on to learn of the worst of the worst in toxic offenders and I”ll offer ways to swap them for a safe healthy option.

Aniline BHA Cyclohexanone Dibutyl phthalate Diethylhexyl phthalate Hydroquinone MIBK Nano titanium dioxide Nano zinc oxide (20-60nm) Octoxynol-6 Octoxynol-7 Octoxynol-11 Octoxynol-12 Octoxynol-13 Octoxynol-16 Octoxynol-20 Octoxynol-25 Octoxynol-30 Octoxynol-33 Octoxynol-40 Octoxynol-70 PEG-3 Sorbitan oleate PEG-6 Sorbitan oleate Resorcinol Styrene amonia, Perchloroethylene or “PERC”, Sodium Hydroxide, 2-Butoxyethanol , Chlorine, Triclosan, Quarternary Ammonium Compounds, or “QUATS”
Collectively these toxins above are in the majority of homes from oven cleaners, sink & tub cleaners, candles, plug ins, dryer sheets, laundry soap, personal care items, hand sanitizers, soaps,  dry clean only clothes, multipurpose cleaners, rug shampoo.. the list is endless.  They are known endocrine disruptors & carcinogens. But it doesn't have to be your lifestyle.

Are you ready to swap it out on a budget ?

About Me

I used to struggle with severe hip pain. It was the kind of discomfort that made everyday tasks a challenge. Having tried everything as a massage therapist and yoga instructor... I felt lost, unsure of how to find relief. Then, I discovered how perimenopause affects the muscles and joints of women. This realization changed everything in my approach. I learned that these hormonal changes were a big part of the pain I was experiencing.

With this new understanding, I started to make small changes to support my body. Gradually, I noticed improvements. This journey led me to a new passion. Now, I help people who are amidst hormonal changes. I want to share what I've learned to make your journey through similar challenges a little easier!

If that’s you, get in touch—I’d love to help.
