If I told you there are ways of reducing your cancer risk would you listen ?  If I could show you  how to reduce your exposure to carcinogens by even half would you want to know?
Yes?? Well then, read on my friend.
Toxins are everywhere and you can argue, that you can't avoid them all together.  To an extent, I agree with you.  For example, you can't avoid them in your flooring.  All typical forms of flooring contain toxins: carpet, vinyl, and hard woods, concrete, painted etc.
Furniture is another, its in the wood, the fabric, the protective coatings etc.  If you’ve had a baby you know that you should ‘off gas’ the crib mattress for days before the infant sleeps on it, because of the toxins used to make it! I bought an organic crib mattress and it still had that plastic stink.

Sadly, toxins have become an acceptable ingredient in manufacturing.  From the bottle the product is stored in, to the actual ingredients.
40 years ago the FDA came up with ‘acceptable’ levels BPA & other plastics, because they cause fertility issues, cancers, birth defects, impaired immunity, endocrine disruption and other ailments.
Fragrance is another can of worms, it’s an umbrella term to cover hundreds of toxic harmful ingredients in your products.

Why not just remove them right? Great question.  Turns out it would hurt the industry and the company's bottom line.  Is your jaw dropping, eyes rolling? Are you thinking what about the damage being done to your children or yourself?  Don’t you matter?
Yes, friend, of course your do!  This is why I'm writing to tell you, you can remove so many toxins from your life, the government chooses to allow in the industry.
There are an excessive amount of Carcinogens in your home in ‘safe items’ like dish soap, laundry soap, lotions, hair care products, cleaning agents etc.
The damage from toxins is hard to reverse and is often silent.  We might see dry skin from washing our dishes or hands too often or we may get a rash when we use name  brand sanitizer. We might notice nothing when applying butt paste to our babies or makeup to our eyes.  None the less... these products are damaging your cells, and its either ignored or it's not even noticeable.  They're causing toxic build up, creating a cascade of issues from cells not being able to do their job.
Toxins are lurking in almost everything.  They cause cellular damage and if left unchecked we know cellular damage often leads to cancer.

Here are are few things to look out for:

Phthalates can be obtained through inhalation, however equally effective is through skin contact with scented dryer sheets, soaps, which is a significant problem, warns Alicia Stanton, MD, coauthor of Hormone Harmony. Sanitizers, lotions, but it's also in the soft plastics your products which are leaching toxins into your product.
Keep in mind anything applied to the skin enters the blood stream effecting your entire body.   Ask yourself ... would you eat it? Is it good for you your internal organs ? If the answer is no.. make a better choice.  So how do you know? Start with avoiding anything with the word fragrance on the label.

Perchloroethylene or “PERC” is a neurotoxin and found in spot removers, carpet cleaners & dry cleaning agents.  According EPA it’s classified as a “possible carcinogen” which pretty much means it is.  People who live in residential buildings where dry cleaners are located have reported negative neurotoxic effects.  Think about that for a second.  They are separated by concrete, drywall ceilings and floors, and have neurotic effects. Imagine whats happening to you when you wear the clothing, with the chemicals infused into them?  Symptoms or not you’re still being effected.

Triclosan is an aggressive agent found in anything that says antibacterial.  Soaps, dish soaps, cleaners etc. The use of triclosan is another endocrine disruptor and also a neurotoxin and promotes drug-resistant bacteria,.  There is loads of evidence against the use of antimicrobial soaps. Thoroughly washing for the time it takes to sing happy birthday (with a toxin free soap of course) cleans our hands effectively. Leaving our bodies better able to make use of antibacterial medicine when truly needed.  By the way.. science is making huge swings in estimates but here it is: we are either 10:1 bacterial cells to human cells, 3:1 or 1:1 so take your pick but either way we are made up of A LOT of bacteria and we need to be mindful of our bacterial counterparts.  Like beneficial gut flora, if we kill it- all hell breaks loose.  So stay away from antibacterials by using a fragrance & toxin free soap.

2-butoxyethanol is the key ingredient in many multipurpose, window and kitchen cleaners.  Let’s just say it’s powerful stuff.  Sadly it’s not required to be listed on the label. Yet at high levels glycol ethers can contribute to narcosis, pulmonary edema, and severe liver and kidney damage.  These are pretty important filtering organs.

Do you want to swim in a crisp clean pool or a mucky pond?   When these organs are not functioning optimally... our fluids (blood & lymph) become more like the pond.  Do you want to expose yourself, children pets or elderly family to this?  Yea, me neither.

In the workplace there is a limit set by the EPA on allowable limits for 2-butoxyethanol  however.. as I’ve said before; when you spray once you can contaminate your air for 12-24 hours.  How many windows do you have?  We have 28.  If I sprayed a window cleaner containing 2-butoxyethanol 28x’s I’d probably end up feeling sick, with a headache having exposed my self to far more than what is actually allowed in the workplace per EPA guidelines. Over exposure isn’t hard to do.. it’s bioaccumulation and it's from repeatedly using a toxin..  What would the EPA or Osha do to a company who over exposed their employees to a carcinogen monthly? #shutdown!  So why are we allowed to purchase these toxins are use them repeatedly around perhaps compromised immune systems, infants, children, elderly?

There are hundreds more toxins and carcinogens available in the cleaning & personal care isles but I’m sure you get the point.
Truly, there is a better option and it's as easy as can be.  What I use is plant based, there are no health and safety warnings associated with it and it smells amazing.
